Cherry, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota or Honda?

City Cars, Hyundai Getz, Hyundai i10, Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris, Kia Picanto, Cherry QQThere have been so many mini rides under the city cars category in the automobile market right now and it seems they have mesmerized every auto lovers and enthusiasts around the world. First up are the gum ball-like colorful midgets from Cherry QQ from its Chinese manufacturer Cherry Automobile. Hyundai also has its Indian designed Jazz and one more which is the i10. Kia has Picanto which is based on a shortened platform of the Hyundai Getz. And lastly, my favorite of them all, Toyota Yaris also known as Vitz or Echo in some other countries which was designed by Sotiris Kovos, a Greek automobile designer.

All of them have their own awe-inspiring features that really confuse car lovers in choosing which one to buy. One advice is you have to be well educated on their features and advantages first so you will know which of these will best suit you. And of course, if you are thinking of buying any of these or generally any car you want, the most important thing you should consider is your financial budget and its practicality. I mean, you don't want to spend all of your money just for a car considering it's a time of global crisis.

I think these sizes of autos are just practical, budget wise and application wise. For me, as long as it keeps you comfortable, it will surely be a best ride.

Aesthetic-wise I go for the Picanto and Yaris. Then again, I don't know how to drive and I am clueless when it comes to cars.

the new jazz is surprisingly spacious for its size.

Based from my experiences the Honda Jazz takes the cake as the city car. Excellent engine, brakes and interior space. Even the after-sales service at the dealership is good. I appreciate the boatloads of space it has, a big advantage compared to the Yaris. Engine's good too, I actually cranked the engine to start 3x while running, having thought that the engine died on me. :P

But 700+k is out of the budget iI suggest going with the Picanto/i10 twins. The Getz is overpriced, while the Cherry is too small, its competitor is the Suzuki Alto. Btw, there's a new guy in town, the Suzuki Celerio. That would be a serious contender against the Korean Twins.

Just my 2 cents. :P

All cars are quite zippy and easy on the city. However, since you are doing a lot of traveling. The Getz's Diesel engine is quite frugal yet giving the highest amount of torque among its competitors. And because its torquey, it feels faster too!

I wouldn't put my money on other than the Getz or the Jazz though. Yaris lack space (and I don't believe in Toyota is the best thingy).

The Jazz's ULT seats are the most practical and can be useful when traveling. I believe the Swift is by far the most comfortable, but its that spacious.
