This certain part of Manila (Makati area and nearby) is the vista that can be gazed from my condo unit at Park Avenue Mansions in Pasay city. And since it's one of the tallest structures in the vicinity, Manila Bay can also be rubbernecked if you go to the other wing of the building.

Apple iWatch: Another Tech Craze in the Making

It all started when Apple sensationalized the ninth letter of the alphabet by turning it into one of the most integral parts of its mobile products and branding. From the iPod, iTouch, iPhone and the latest craze which is the iPad; everyone is dying to get a hold of these wonder gadgets that revolutionized the way people deal with their lives.

Most of us probably have a lot of questions in mind like what's in store for the Apple fans in the future? or what will be the next big thing? A lot of tech savvy fans have speculated a lot of gadgets that will soon be released by Apple. One of which is this wrist watch concept proposed by ADR Studio which will most likely be called the iWatch.

The iWatch is not like your usual wrist watch because this mini gadget is packed with wireless features making syncing with Apple devices possible. This means that it could answer phones from your iPhone without the need to take the phone out of your pocket. Also, one amazing feature of the iWatch is its built-in powerful nano projector so you can easily beam photos and videos at any viewing surface.

Cool gadget, isn't it? Let's just hope this concept watch would come to reality 'cos if it happens, I'm definitely getting one for myself on the first release!

Save Energy. Save the Earth

A lot of campaigns and advocacies that concern the environment are being constituted these days. Most people nowadays are becoming more aware of the fact that our environment is at risk due to the many  forms of abuses that people from all over the world is doing, slapping mother nature in the face big time. As concerned inhabitants of our mother nature, we should all take the step into preserving our scarce resources.

Making a difference is never hard. In fact, simple things like turning off the AC or unplugging the television when not in use will really help a lot in saving energy at the same time it also helps in lessening the carbon emissions to the atmosphere. Our parents would always teach us about gas and electricity reducing tips for the eco-conscious when we were young, and now is the time to apply those tips so we can preserve our natural resources up until the future generations.

Now is the time to go GREEN. Tiny things can make a mighty difference.

Mothers' Day is Every Family's Hero's Day

Every family has its own unsung heroes. One of them, regarded as the light of the family, with their unconditional love and unparalleled dedication. Mother, mom, mama, mommy, ma, nanay, ina; whatever you call her, it really doesn't matter. Just a kiss or a hug from you can wash away all the stress and exhaustion from a whole day of work. She is not asking for anything in return. As for mothers, life is not about their own happiness, rather, just seeing their child grow into a beautiful person and see them enjoy life's splendor makes their life worth living. That's a mother: noble creation of God; vulnerable yet strong.

Give your mom a hug today and she will surely recharge all the energy she had shed for years of hardwork and commitment for your family.

Know Your Precinct# - Comelec.gov.ph - Philippine Elections

It's only less than a week before the May 2010 Philippine Elections and I guess most of us are itching to try out the newly implemented automated voting system. Some might get confused because not everyone has background or technical know-how with this type of voting system. But as per the TV ad campaign (May bilog may bilog na hugis itlog), all you have to do is to shade the circle (or oval I guess) of the candidate you are voting for. As simple as that.

To those who are still not aware or unsure with regard to their precinct numbers and don't know which school to go to, you may visit www.comelec.gov.ph for an easy way to find out your voting precinct information (click here to go directly to Comelec's precint finder). I tried searching mine today and I was satisfied with how quick and easy the search came up considering it's a government website (because most government-run websites in the Philippines are either taking too slow to load up or they are always down. Laughs!)

Useful Online Tools for Teachers

If there is one profession that I look up to the most, that would be the teachers, more specifically the public school teachers. In our country, public school teachers belong to the many professionals that are less compensated and yet they are the ones who do more work.

I just that I had a conversation with a former schoolmate who's now working as a public teacher. She told me a lot about her work and how she enjoys it despite the fact that she is not earning that much. My friend is lucky though that the school where she teaches is equipped with enough resources like computers and books for the students.
