Regalong Pambahay: Fine Handcrafts for Your Home

Regalong Pambahay, Philippine made hand crafts, Philippine Tourism, Jewelry Box velvet, Pang-regalo, Marquee MallRegalong Pambahay is a chain of stalls that sell many different Philippine-made crafts. Most of their products are fine home decors and personal accessories that can be used as gift items. It is one of the locally founded stores that promote Philippine industry and Filipino craftsmanship both locally and abroad.

One of their products that I came across with is this square jewelry box made of silky fabric with velvet pattern. It sells for Php325.00 or approximately USD7.00. This jewelry box comes from a collection of decors of different sizes and colors. If you want to accentuate your home or room with a single theme, these are the best accessories to have because there are throw pillows and lamps available as well, made from the same fabric and material used on this jewelry box.

If you want to visit one of the stores, there is one here in Pampanga located inside Ayala Marquee Mall.

Thinking of Getting a New Frame

Most of you probably do not know that I have very poor eyesight and I barely recognize people beyond 5 meters. To those who are not aware of this condition of mine would normally say that I am a snob when they see me somewhere like in the streets or in the malls. At least, now you know. I am as friendly as Casper. It's just that I probably didn't recognize you when you passed by because of my 125-125 vision.

Actually, I am planning of getting new eyeglasses frame. I am thinking of getting the retro look so I can wear it like any other fashion eyeglasses. If only I can get to avail of the frames direct promo code so I can save money when I buy eyeglasses.

For the meantime, I will just start looking for the eyeglasses of my choice and save a couple of bucks each week. Hopefully in a few weeks, I will be able to get a new frame. I am starting to feel sick on my old frame because it's heavy and stiff.

A Large Pool of Articles Online

Part of my job is doing research and I usually am in front of my PC the whole day surfing, posting articles and doing designs. When I write something that involves topics that are kind of new to me, I usually go to a general article directory website to look for helpful information about a specific subject. One site in particular is articleszoom.org. It is a free article directory that offers a wide range of articles.

The website is also perfect for publishers and those who want to promote their website or blog because you can submit your articles and have it published on the site. There are just certain rules that need to be followed if you want to promote your contents on their site, something like it has to be more than 200 words and should contain only a maximum of three outgoing links for it to be approved.

You might want to check the submission guidelines if you are interested of posting a content. The articles are also promoted via twitter and the website is accessible through mobile browsers so you can visit the site anywhere you are on the globe.

15th Phil. Intl. Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, Clarkfield Pampanga

Finally, I was able to upload the most awaited photos from the 15th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga last Saturday, February 13th. We came in as early as 5 in the morning to avoid the large volume of traffic in Clark. It's one of our lessons learned from last year's Hot Air Balloon Festival: we got stuck in traffic, and when we reached the destination, the hot air balloons already took off. So this time, we bought the tickets few days before the event and hit the road by dusk.

It was a fruitful effort, for the record, because we were able to see the balloons closer and better. During the event, there were also some street dances and performances from the Ibon-Ebon Festival of Candaba Pampanga. You can view more photos from the event on my multiply site.

Eco-friendly USB Rechargeable Batteries

USB CELL self-charging batteries, eco-friendly batteries, rechargeable batteries, USB cell batteriesThink about how many times you've used and disposed batteries in your entire existence. 15 billion batteries are made and disposed of each year. The idea itself is alarming because all of these used batteries are adding up to our global waste problem that we are faced with today and even risking the environment because of the harmful chemicals and toxins they produce.

And because of this concern to our environment, along with our promising advancements in technology, USBCELL introduced its eco-friendly self-charging cell packs that you can use anywhere with the functions of a standard battery. It looks exactly as a normal AA battery it's just that it flips open so you can charge it on USB-enabled devices such as PC's or laptops.

The batteries as of now are only available on AA sizes but other categories will soon be developed.

Oh Hail iPhone!

I am quite sure you've heard about the latest buzz about the newest addition to Apple's line of 'i' series which is the iPad. Gees, the craze is all over! Anyway, I am really not that crazy of getting one as of now. First and foremost, it's because I really can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars just to get a bigger version of the iTouch. I am still not that impressed on this new iPad since it still can't multitask. That means, you can't listen to music while you do other stuff like tweeting, texting and all, and vise versa. Also, the tablet has no camera!

I would still remain faithful to the good-old iPhone because it doesn't have much difference at all compared to the iPad. Yeah, it has a big screen but it ain't portable. With iPhone, I don't have to bring any extra carrying case because I can just slip it inside my pocket whenever I am not using it. Well, this article is not intended to bash the iPad or promote the iPhone. This is just a weird random thought that instantly popped out of my mind. Anyway, I probably am just bitter because one side of me is telling me not to buy the iPad because it's just not worth my money however, the other side is polluting my mind and whispering that I should get one, join the craze and be part of the talk of the crowd.

Apple iPad Cases, iPhone silicon cases, SwitchEasy CapsuleRebel MI hate being caught in the middle. Well, just as I said, I am still an iPhone fanatic. Actually, I am planning of pimpin' mine by getting a textured skin like the SwitchEasy CapsuleRebel M iphone case that I found online. I will also save more so I can buy iphone accessories and an iphone dock so I can maximize the use of my iPhone even when I am outdoors.

The Uber Expensive Mouse by Intelligent Design

Recently on Dutch Design Week 2009, a typical three-button Bluetooth enabled mouse caught the media's attention. Well, not because it has extra super powers or features from the Jetson's world; but because of its eye-popping price.

The wireless mouse created by Intelligent Design comes with a price tag of $1,200. YES, Twelve hundred US dollars. The special facet about the mouse is it is made out of hand-formed Grade 1 Titanium and a Neodymium scroll wheel.

Would you even care to get a mouse coated with high class metal? Probably, if I belong to the royal family or the Gates clan, I might get one of these. But just like most of us in this practical world, I am simply who I am. What I can only do about this gadget is to blog something about it. (Laughs)

Pimp My Ride! Anyone?

Pimp My Ride, CariID, Billet GrillsLast weekend we went to Marikina and had our Capiz designs electroplated. The electroplating process involved submerging the items into a solution that will make them look golden and shiny. It is also the same process in the plating of car mag wheels and grills. Actually, I thought of having my car electroplated next time when our second batch of Capiz crafts is finished.

Personalizing my car is one of my frustrations. I am a big fan of MTV's pimp my ride and I envy those lucky few who are being featured on the show. How I wish I can have mine pimped, too. If I were to be featured on the show, I would love to have a chrome finish and have some billet grills attached through it.

I'd probably be the happiest car enthusiast if I were to be picked by Pimp my Ride! MTV, if you're reading my blog, I am just an email away (laughs!) By the way, if you are interested to get your car some new accessories to make it look more macho and appealing, I suggest you invest more on car grills, wheels, rear spoilers and chrome add-ons as they are the most popular in the market today.

Hyundai Santa Fe R Diesel Declared Eco-Friendliest on Global Green Challenge

I have always been a fan of Hyundai cars because of their unique features and functionalities that set them apart from any other car manufacturers. And on the recently concluded transcontinental Global Green Challenge, the new Hyundai Santa Fe R Diesel showcased a promising facet that is essential in today's generation to help prevent global warming and climate change.

Hyundai Santa Fe R Diesel Eco Global Green Challenge from Darwin to Adelaide Australia

The Australia challenge involved a drive test that covered a total distance of 3,147 kilometer starting from Darwin all the way to Adelaide. The new Hyundai Santa Fe R Diesel consumed only 160.46 liters of diesel during the entire challenge that lasted for seven days. It also achieved a record breaking co2 emission of 137.67 grams of CO2 per kilometer which is so overwhelming because even the other well-known hybrid car brands can barely regulate CO2 emission as low as this value.

You can actually witness and experience the Global Green Challenge on Hyundai Santa Fe's YouTube channel and watch the journey of Hyundai's one-of-a-kind ride. This highly advanced and fuel efficient car from Hyundai definitely belongs to the line of green cars that help in preserving our environment. We should all take seriously the fact that everything that we do greatly affects our mother nature.

A Preview of Our Capiz Jewelry Box Collection

Capiz Jewelry Box project of Jaypee David and Julius Mariano, Electroplating of Metals, Hand Crafts from the PhilippinesI'm hella excited for our jewelry boxes collection made from Capiz shells and wire works that Julius and I are working on so I posted some of the photos although they are not yet finished. As you can see, the jewelry boxes haven't gone through furnishing yet since they just came out from the assembly team.

The next step would be the electroplating process of the metal exteriors of the jewelry boxes including the wire arts. Once they have been dipped into gold, these tiny little guys will evolve from ducklings to beautiful swans (with a smile and sparking eyes. laughs!) as they will become golden, shiny and shimmering! After electroplating, we would put some velvet material and mirror inside each of them to add grandeur to their look.

I can't wait to see them all finished. We haven't priced them yet because we still have to wait until the whole process is done before the costing stage. But each of these will approximately cost $4.00 for the Garden Rose, the cube jewelry box with rose flower on top (7cm. x 7cm. x 7cm.) and $4.50 to $4.75 for the Hibiscus Jewelry Box, the rectangular one (4in. x 6in. x 4in.).

Our products will be available locally and abroad so I hope you can support our small business as we are also providing a livelihood program for a small community of people in our town who are part of this venture.

After this project, our next design collection will be focused on Capiz chandeliers and lamps.

If you would like to place an order, you may contact us here.

Personal Tips To Rebuild Credit Score

Many people today struggle to rebuilding their credit and getting back their integrity on creditors especially on their credit scores. This is a situation not new to us since this has been a long time dilemma that each of us encounters with, either for ourselves or from someone we know. Apparently, neither anyone of us have a perfect credit score.

I have here some tips that I religiously follow to maintain, or in worst case, rebuild my credit standing:

1. You may probably have heard about piggyback credit which can quickly raise your score. This happens when someone with a good credit standing adds you up on their account.

2. Rebuilding your score by applying to companies with fewer requirements and those that are not too strict when it comes to the credit score.

3. Seek for an expert's advice by engaging into debt counseling. Counselors are really helpful because in most cases, they know some of the effective tips in which you will not hear from anybody. I still believe in the saying that two heads are better than one.

4. Last but not the least is a common sense advice and yet many fail to follow it. Pay your dues on time. In the first place, if you do this all the time, there's no way that you will get a bad credit report.

French Baker's Soup in a Bread Bowl

French Baker Soup in a Bread Bowl (SOB), SM Malls, Food Photography by Jaypee DavidMy bestest best friend reminds me every time I order this Soup in a Bread Bowl appetizer for he is someone who will not enjoy a meal without a soup. He's a big fan of SBB! He's so contagious to the point that I now, am starting to crave for a soup each meal time as well.

Soup in a Bread Bowl is one of French Baker's all-time best sellers. It is a creamy corn soup served on a bowl-like bread. And don't worry, the bread won't burst because it is thick and the crust is sealed enough to keep the soup from dripping. The order comes with a separate butter for the inside of the bread served so you can dip it up in the soup.

Oh goodness, I'm salivating while I'm writing this post! (LOL!)
